AI Connection

AI Connection (beta) — your own AI assistant, in every module

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, n8n — or anything that speaks the open Model Context Protocol — directly to your hejGuide account. The AI drafts. You publish. Live on mcp.hejguide.com since 20 May 2026.

Bring your own AI assistant

The AI Connection is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. MCP is an open Anthropic-stewarded standard that the major AI vendors all support. That means you connect the AI assistant you already use — Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Cursor, n8n — instead of being locked into one provider's in-house AI. Your subscription, your model, your choice.

  • Works with Claude Desktop, ChatGPT (Apps and API), Cursor, n8n
  • Open standard — no vendor lock to a single AI vendor
  • You bring the AI; hejGuide is the connected platform
  • OAuth 2.1 with Dynamic Client Registration and PKCE

Drafts, not sends

Every page, place, translation, message reply, and review reply the AI creates lands as a draft in your hejGuide dashboard with an "AI draft" badge. You read it, edit if you want, and click Publish. The single exception is internal team-chat messages, which send directly because that mirrors how you already use team chat. The host stays in charge — and the database enforces it.

  • New guidebook pages and places land unpublished, with an AI badge
  • Multi-language translations land as pending updates you accept or reject
  • Message-reply drafts appear in the thread with "AI suggestion · review before sending"
  • Once you publish, the AI badge drops — the row is now yours

Every module connected

64 tools across 14 modules. Your AI assistant can read your reservations, draft message and review replies, analyse your reports, edit guidebook pages, add local places with categories and descriptions, translate content into the languages your guests speak, manage tasks and housekeeping, and chat with your team — all from one conversation in your AI client.

  • Bookings, calendar, reservations, today's check-ins / check-outs
  • Reviews, sentiment summary, draft reply creation
  • Messages, unified inbox, draft replies, suggested replies
  • Guidebook pages, local places, multi-language translations
  • Tasks, housekeeping, issue reporting, status updates
  • Reports: revenue, occupancy, payment status, smart insights

Built for privacy and GDPR

The AI Connection treats guest data the way the GDPR expects. Guest names are masked by default in AI responses ("Anna K." instead of the full name). When you ask the AI to unmask, each unmask consumes from a 50-per-day budget per account, requires a written reason, and is audit-logged with 12-month retention. Authentication is OAuth 2.1 with per-scope consent — you approve exactly which modules the AI may touch, and you can revoke access from your account settings at any time.

  • Per-scope OAuth consent — you approve each module
  • Guest names masked by default in AI responses
  • 50/day PII-unmask budget per account, with required reason
  • Every AI tool call audit-logged for GDPR traceability
  • Revoke the AI's access in one click from account settings

Frequently asked questions

Which AI assistants does the AI Connection work with?
Anything that speaks the Model Context Protocol (MCP). That includes Claude Desktop, ChatGPT (Apps and API), Cursor, the OpenAI Agents SDK, n8n, and a growing list of others. You bring the AI; hejGuide is the connected platform.
Does the AI publish things automatically?
No, with one small exception. New guidebook pages, places, translations, message replies and review replies always land as drafts in your dashboard with an "AI draft" badge. You click Publish. The single exception is internal team-chat messages, which send directly — mirroring how you already use team chat in the dashboard.
What does "beta" mean?
It means we are live in production (since 20 May 2026), with the full feature set, but we are calling it beta because (a) we expect to keep adding tools and fixes weekly, and (b) we want you to know that connecting today makes you an early user. Setup docs and the full tool catalogue live at help.hejguide.com/ai-connection/.
Does the AI Connection cost extra?
No. The AI Connection is included on Starter (€19/mo) and Pro (€29/mo) at no extra charge during beta. You do need an AI assistant subscription on your side (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) — that part is on you, because it is your AI.
Is my guest data safe?
Yes. Authentication is OAuth 2.1 with per-scope consent. Guest names are masked by default in AI responses, PII unmasks are capped at 50 per day per account, require a reason, and are audit-logged for GDPR traceability with 12-month retention. You can revoke the AI's access from your account settings at any time.
